Hi, I’m Emma.

I grew up in a small town called Reftele, in Sweden.

After growing up in a small town, I was ready to explore the world – in 2011 I was travelling and met my now partner. We moved to Australia in 2013 and started our family.

In 2015, whilst living back in Sweden, I returned to university after being on maternity leave & completed my Master of Laws. During this time, I worked at a law firm to gain some hands-on experience, and after graduation the law firm hired me as an Associate, where I focused on Estate law.

After a few years of moving back & forth, we finally settled back in the Whitsundays. I have been working at PD Law since December 2016, and have worked in most areas of law at the firm since starting. However, over the last 5 years I have been focusing on working in the conveyancing team and assisting our conveyancing manager Bernie Gunders with more complex residential and Hamilton Island transactions.

Why law?

After high school, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do – I didn’t have a subject in school I was in love with. I tossed up between different degree options and landed in law.

I enjoy reading, research & being intellectually challenged – and that’s what the legal industry is all about. It allows me to deal with complex matters which present all kinds of issues, which I am employed to solve.

Hamilton Island Conveyancing

In my role, I assist our conveyancing manager with Hamilton Island purchases and sales. These matters are never the same – it’s never boring or repetitive.

How would you describe your approach?

I’m a detail orientated person, which is something all conveyancers should be in my opinion. It’s my job to ensure your property contract is correct & up to date.

For me, it’s important that clients can see that I know what I am talking about when it comes to their matter. If I don’t know something, I will research and come back to them with answers. I will always do my best to ensure the process is as easy & as effortless as possible for them.
